TEAM
Rules & Regulations
Version 2.0 — In force from 30 August 2026.
This page is the complete set of rules of NOX Racing Team. It replaces both the standards posted in our Discord server and the separate regulations document, which are now one text kept in one place.
It applies to everyone in the team — drivers, engineers, designers, analysts, staff and management alike — from the moment they accept a position. Being a member means these rules are known and accepted. They are written to be read once, in ten minutes, and not thought about again.

1. Purpose and scope
1.1 These rules govern the relationships, rights and obligations of every member of NOX Racing Team (“NOXRT”, “the Team”), and the standard of conduct expected of them.
1.2 They apply without exception of rank or seniority, and they apply in three places: inside the NOXRT Discord server, in any activity carried out on behalf of the Team, and anywhere a member is publicly recognisable as part of NOXRT — public lobbies, league servers, broadcasts and social media included.
1.3 Compliance is mandatory from the moment a position is accepted.
2. What NOXRT is
NOXRT is a sim racing team competing at national and international level. It exists for three things: to race well, to keep an environment its members want to be part of, and to represent its partners properly.
It is not a company and it does not sell anything. Everyone here is doing this alongside a life.
3. Joining, belonging and leaving
3.1 Membership is set out in a collaboration agreement between the member and the Team. It is not employment, nobody is paid a salary, and nobody owes the Team their time beyond what they have agreed to.
3.2 What the agreement does establish is a working relationship with rules: a role, a category, and the commitments in this document.
3.3 Anyone may leave at any time. Say so to Management rather than disappearing — a line-up has to be rebuilt around it.
3.4 Two obligations survive leaving, whether the departure is voluntary or by sanction: confidentiality over everything covered in section 5, and not disparaging the Team publicly. Both are permanent. Everything else ends when the membership does.
4. Intellectual property and image rights
This section matters more than its length suggests. Read it before joining rather than after.
4.1 What belongs to the Team
The NOXRT name and logo, the livery designs, and all graphic, audio and video material created by or for the Team are the property of NOXRT Management. Members may use them to represent the Team; they may not use them for anything else, sell them, or pass them to third parties.
This is also stated in our Legal Notice, which applies to everyone, member or not.
4.2 Use of a member’s image
By joining, each member authorises the Team to use their name, competition alias, voice and digital image — including onboard camera footage, team radio and broadcast material — for the promotion and communication of the Team’s activity and that of its partners.
No additional payment is made for this beyond whatever is agreed in the member’s own role or collaboration agreement.
In plain terms: if you race for NOXRT, your onboard clips, your radio and your name may appear on our social media and in our partners’ communications. That is the arrangement. If you are not comfortable with it, say so before joining rather than after a clip is published.
This consent can be withdrawn at any time by writing to infonoxrt@gmail.com. Withdrawing it stops any further use from that point; it does not oblige the Team to delete material already published.
Members under 18 cannot give this consent themselves: it must come from a parent or guardian, who should read this section and section 5. How we handle personal data more generally is set out in our Privacy Policy.
5. Confidentiality
5.1 Car setups, telemetry, race briefings, strategy, analysis and any internal or commercial information of the Team or its partners are shared with you as a member, for use inside the Team.
5.2 None of it leaves the server. Not to friends, not to drivers on other teams, not in a public channel, not before an event and not after one.
5.3 This does not expire when your membership does.
5.4 If you are unsure whether something is internal, assume it is and ask Management.
5.5 If any member shares confidential information belonging to third parties or other organizations through any official NOX Racing Team communication channel, the member will receive a formal warning. If the offense is repeated, the member will be dismissed from the team in accordance with Section 8.3 of this document.
6. Code of conduct
6.1 The four principles
Respect, integrity, professionalism and commitment. Everything below is an application of those four, and where this document does not answer a question, they do.
6.2 Inside the team
6.2.1 Treat every member with respect, whatever their role, results or experience. A livery and a stint are both work.
6.2.2 Harassment, insults and discrimination are not tolerated. This includes anything targeting a person’s nationality, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religion or disability.
6.2.3 Disagreement is useful. Keep it about the argument and not the person.
6.2.4 Personal conflicts are settled privately or with Staff, never in public channels.
6.2.5 Post in the channel a subject belongs to. Do not spam, and do not overuse mentions.
6.2.6 Language. English is the working language of public channels, so that every driver can follow what is being said. Spanish is welcome in casual conversation and in direct messages, and Staff will answer you in either.
6.3 In public and on track
6.3.1 Once you are wearing the name, what you do in public is the Team’s reputation and not only yours.
6.3.2 Show exemplary sportsmanship. Toxicity and offensive language towards other drivers, teams, organisers or streamers is prohibited, in the simulator and in public channels alike.
6.3.3 Do not argue publicly with rivals or organisers. If you are provoked, disengage and tell Staff. Incidents are settled through the organiser’s stewards, not in chat.
6.3.4 Public statements that damage the reputation of the Team or its partners are a serious matter and are treated as such under section 8.
6.3.5 Do not post clips, screenshots or recordings that expose someone’s private information or show internal Team material.
6.4 Fair play
Cheats, exploits and any technical advantage not permitted by the competition’s own regulations are strictly prohibited. This is not negotiable and it is not softened by the result it produces.
6.5 Staff
6.5.1 Follow Staff instructions when they are given. A race, a briefing or a heated channel is not the place to litigate a decision.
6.5.2 Afterwards, you have a real right to challenge it. Section 9 sets out how, and using it is neither disloyalty nor a mark against you.
6.5.3 What is not acceptable is arguing a decision publicly in the server, or working to undermine Staff authority instead of appealing.
6.5.4 Staff are bound by these rules exactly as everyone else is, and answer for breaches in the same way.
7. Official races
7.1 Availability
A selected driver must confirm availability for the race, and for the briefing if there is one, at least 48 hours in advance. Failing to confirm may result in automatic substitution — not as a punishment, but because a seat cannot be left uncertain.
7.2 Equipment and connection
A stable internet connection and working hardware are the driver’s responsibility. Technical failures that force a substitution or a disqualification are not attributable to the Team.
7.3 Practice
Drivers are expected to attend scheduled practice sessions. Management may set a minimum number of weekly training hours for a category.
7.4 Team orders and radio
7.4.1 Drivers follow the instructions of the race or team engineer, on and off track.
7.4.2 Radio communication must be concise, clear and professional, and is reserved for what actually matters to the race. Using push-to-talk to broadcast frustration or complaints is prohibited — it goes out live, and it is heard by people who are not us.
7.5 After the race
7.5.1 There is normally a post-race session to review performance and strategy. Attend it if you can.
7.5.2 Keep a sporting and respectful attitude afterwards, whatever the result. Complaints about the organisation or about rivals go through Management, not into a public channel.
8. Offences and sanctions
8.1 What this is for
Sanctions exist to correct conduct and protect the Team, not to punish. Writing them down means nobody is sanctioned by surprise, and nobody is sanctioned more harshly than the person before them for the same thing. They are imposed by Management Staff.
8.2 Classification
Minor offences. Small failures to keep to internal rules: lateness to a meeting or practice, not giving notice of a one-off absence, incorrect use of the Team tag in an unofficial session.
Serious offences. Repeated minor offences; disrespect towards a teammate or a rival; airing internal criticism publicly; breaking an agreed training commitment; deliberately colliding with another driver, whether a teammate or a rival; rejoining the track badly and thereby obstructing others, causing a collision or seriously damaging the car.
Very serious offences. Breaches of the code of conduct that seriously damage the image of the Team or its partners; harassment; leaking confidential information; sabotaging the Team’s result or image; use of cheats or prohibited technical advantages.
8.3 Sanctions
| Offence | Sanction | On repetition |
|---|---|---|
| Minor | Verbal or written reprimand, recorded internally. | A third minor offence within three months is treated as a serious offence. |
| Serious | Suspension from 1 to 2 official races. | Suspension from 3 to 5 races, and review of continuity in the Team. |
| Very serious | Immediate removal from the Team, without negotiation. | — |
8.4 How offences accumulate
8.4.1 A minor offence stops counting towards repetition six months after it was recorded, provided there has been no further offence in that time.
8.4.2 Every sanction is recorded with its date, the rule involved and who applied it. The member is told at the time. Nothing goes on a record without the person knowing.
8.4.3 Every sanction can be appealed under section 10.
9. Recruitment
Phase 1 — Contact. Talent is identified by the scouting staff, or a candidate applies directly.
Phase 2 — On track. The candidate runs pace tests in the simulator, supervised by a staff member and an engineer from the category applied for. Where no engineer is available, the most experienced driver in that category supervises. What is assessed is pace, consistency, and tyre and fuel management.
Phase 3 — Interview. Management assesses the candidate’s approach, commitment and fit with how the Team works. A quick driver who will not fit the environment is not a good signing.
Phase 4 — Decision. Management issues the verdict. If it is positive, the driver role and category are assigned and the candidate joins.
A decision not to recruit can be appealed under section 10.
10. Right of appeal
10.1 What can be appealed. Any sanction under section 8, and any decision not to recruit a candidate under section 10, where the person affected believes there was a procedural error or an unfair assessment.
10.2 How. Send a written statement to a member of Staff, or open a ticket addressed to Management, within five days of being notified of the decision. Set out the reasons and provide any evidence or witnesses.
10.3 Who decides. The appeal is reviewed by a panel of two members of Management and, where useful, an experienced driver — in every case different from whoever took the original decision. Impartiality is the point of the procedure and it is not waived for convenience.
10.4 When. The panel issues a final resolution within a maximum of five working days of receiving the appeal.
10.5 Appealing is a right. Nobody is treated worse for using it.
11. Reporting something
If something happens to you, or you see it happen to someone else, tell Staff. Send a direct message to @lord_varu47 or @javivup_2005, or open a ticket in the support channel.
Reports are handled privately. Nobody is sanctioned for reporting something in good faith, even if it turns out there was nothing in it.
12. Minimum age
Discord requires its users to be at least 14 years old, and older in some countries. Members who are minors are welcome and treated no differently, but sections 4.2 and 5 should be read by a parent or guardian, and how we handle their personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these rules
These rules are versioned and dated at the top of this page. When they change, the version changes with them and the Team is told in the server. A rule nobody was told about is not a rule anybody can be held to.
The current version always lives at noxrt.com/rules. That address does not change.
That is all of it. Race hard, look after each other, and we will see you on track.
